Denim Day is held annually on the last Wednesday of April.

This day was created as a prevention and education campaign to bring awareness to one victim's experience. A 1999, court ruling convicting a man of sexual assault was overruled by a Supreme Court stating that "the woman was wearing jeans and they could not have come off without her help". Denim Day was created to honor and support that victim and many others, like this woman, who have experienced victim blaming. All day Alternatives to Violence, we will be wearing jeans and "denim day" pins and we encourage the community to do the same at their schools and places of work. By participating, we hope to send the message that we support victims of violent crimes and the many people who work in the field of victim services. April is Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Awareness Month!

Alternatives to Violence (ATV) has launched its inaugural golf tournament fundraising event, FORE Alternatives to Violence, slated for Sept. 28 at the Olde Coursein Loveland. The Women's Clinic of Northern Colorado is the event’s Title Sponsor.

Come watch us turn 5^th Street in downtown Loveland into a spectacular sidewalk gallery.  Join us for this free, family friendly event that includes sidewalk art, food, live music, and a children’s area.  We will also be sponsoring Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, The International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault, and Gender Violence.

The S.H.A.R.P. (Sexual Harassment Assault & Rape Prevention) course for women is a basic defensive tactics course designed to help women manage and cope with issues and situations they can control. The course is taught by female police officers and civilian instructors. Participants will learn both physical and non-physical skills to discourage harassment and assault.

A 30th Anniversary Gala Celebration for Alternatives to Violence

You are invited to help ATV celebrate their 30th anniversary at the Fountains of Loveland.

There will be live music, dancing, silent auction, and Hors d’ouevres in the beautiful outdoor setting of the Fountains of Loveland.
